Now despite Messi's comments in Beijing, Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas trained with his team mates at the Emirates Stadium amid continuing speculation over a possible move to Barcelona. All this comes hot on the heals of his manager Arsene Wenger comments to publicly declared where he wants to play his football this season.

The 23-year old Captain has been the subject of persistent speculation over the course of the close season over a move to his boyhood club Barcelona. So far, the Spanish champions have failed to persuade Arsenal to sell the midfielder for a fee of around 36 million euros - but rumours around his future in London remain. For Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger, the hope is that the 2010-2011 season will see some silverware captured and a possible change of heart - it has been five years since his side last lifted a trophy.
