Germany's style and skill won many new friends at the World Cup. The team earned plenty of plaudits and a new contract for head coach Joachim Loew. But after returning home with another third place finish, attention now turns to the European Championships in two years time, and a friendly against Denmark in Copenhagen is the first step along that road. Loew admitted he has yet to decide who will captain his national side in the Euro 2012 qualifiers.
Germany coach Joachim Loew said, "At the moment, this matter does not currently play a role for this match against Denmark. But in September, there will be an answer for this question. I certainly would like -- and this is how I have always dealt with things like this before -- to speak at first with Philipp Lahm and Michael Ballack, and then I will let them know my thoughts and final decision."
