Argentina interim coach Sergio Batista wants his side to be spurred on by the bitter memories of the World Cup, when the squad takes the field against the Republic of Ireland in Dublin.

Argentina interim coach Sergio Batista said, "I don't think it's for me to kind of make a comparison about how the Argentina team played. I don't really want to look back, I'm here to look forward and it's important now to start to prepare for the future."

Players including Lionel Messi, Javier Macherano and Gonzalo Higuain were all present. The squad hopes to put the World Cup behind it and look ahead.
