In Copenhagen, Denmark found themselves a goal down after faioling to control German invention in the opening exchanges. Mario Gomez was put through by Thomas Hitzlsperger, he made no mistake in putting Germany one nil ahead.
With 17minutes left, Germany doubled thei advantage. A flowing midfield move cut through the Danes defence and Patrick Helmes fired the ball into the back of the net from the edge of the box.
But one minute later, winger Dennis Rommedahl reduced the deficit cuting in off the right wing. A poor clearance from Serdar Tasci gifted possession to Dennis Rommedahl, who showed plenty of composure to blast the ball into the goal for a 2-1 scoreline.
And with the full time whistle looming, Denmark found their top gear and a fumble from German goalkeeper Tim Wiese saw the ball fall to Mads Junker who stepped past the defence and clipped it home to secure a morale boosting 2-2 draw for the hosts.
