Singapore's Youth Olympics are designed to create a special atmosphere for the athletes. So, organizers made a strong effort to build an Olympic Village that will bring the competitors together during the Games.

The Village includes an avenue that displays cultures from around the world. Athletes can take time out from training and competing to relax and enjoy different traditions and customs.

The competitors will live in apartments like these during the Games. The apartment complex was originally a students' dormitory for Nan Yang Technological University. It was renovated especially for the Youth Games.

There is a 24-hour reception center in each apartment building's lobby. Athletes can get all the information they need for living and competing. Officials say anything the athletes might need can be provided for them here.

And if anyone needs to take care of their teeth, they can come to a special dental van. The equipment inside is advanced and ready to go. Athletes talked about the environment created by the Olympic village.
