It's been a long time since tennis journeyman Taylor Dent's scored a win at an ATP tennis tournament. How would he fare against Spain's Feliciano Lopez in Cincinnati on Monday?

The 29-year-old Dent last won an ATP tournament in 2003, and spent two years out of the game with a back injury that threatened his career. The American defeated Lopez in last year's U.S Open, and he did it again in Ohio. Dent took a 6-3, 6-2 win to set up a second-round clash with world number one Rafael Nadal.

In another match, Switzerland's Stanislas Wawrinka looked comfortable. He beat Spain's Nicolas Almagro in straight sets 6-3, 6-3. Wawrinka will play the winner of the all-French first-round match between Michael Llodra and Julien Benneteau.
