Drivers shares fastest time at World Rally Championship

08-20-2010 13:48 BJT

World Rally Championship drivers are setting fast times in Germany. Citroen drivers Dani Sordo and Petter Solberg shared the top mark at the traditional pre-event Shakedown Test ahead of the 2010 FIM World Rally of Germany, round nine of the W-R-C season.

Citroen C4 pilot Sordo completed four passes through the stage. He set his best time of 3 minutes, 39.4 seconds during his final run over the four hour test.

Championship leader Sebastien Loeb will again start the weekend as the man to beat. Loeb will start the Rally in third place after the opening day's test. He missed out on the top spot by just 1.3 seconds.

Sebastien Ogier continued to impress since his promotion from the Citroen Junior team at the previous round. He finished seventh fastest overall. The Frenchman still has a lot to do to cut the deficit to points leader Loeb during round nine.
