The Chinese men's basketball team have touched down in Turkey ahead of the World Championships. The opening of the tournament has been surrounded by controversy.

China are due to play Greece in their opening game - but the Europeans will be without two of their leading names following a brawl in a match against Serbia.

Power forward Antonis Fotsis and center Sofoklis Schort-sanitis will miss Greece's first two games for their role in August's brawl.

However, the Chinese players looked relaxed in training. They had one and a half hour session with Key players Yi Jianlian, Wang Zhizhi, Liu Wei, Sun Yue and Wang Shipeng all taking part.

China will take on Greece on Saturday. Greece's coach is Jonas Kazlauskas, China's former coach. As a result, he knows the Chinese players very well.

Jonas Kazlauskas, Greece's coach, said, "I'm in the opposite side of China."
