Guangzhou Asian Games Town completed

A big moment was celebrated in Guangzhou as workers finished construction on the Asian Games Town. The compound was transferred to the Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee on Tuesday.

Leaders Group and Athletes' Village chief Kong Shaoqiong received the key to the Town from games organizers during the completion ceremony. The whole project lasted more than 30 months. The Asian Games Town is a complex of sports venues and residential space. It includes more than 8,000 apartments and will accommodate over 30,000 people during the Games. The Athletes' Village will officially open on November 5th, to welcome delegations from 45 countries and regions.
