In the 2010 Basketball World Championships in Turkey, Spain kept their unbeaten record against Greece going since 2006, while Serbia took victory from Croatia in a breathtaking 4th quarter.

The Game was a close one between Spain and Greece as they frequently exchanged the lead. But Spain found a way to finish ahead at the end of each quarter. Fenandez was the hero of the game in the fourth, with his three-pointers and breakthroughs that Greek players could not answer. He would contribute 14 points and help enlarge the lead into double digits. Sofok-lis Schort-sian-itis earned a double two-plus-one at a crucial moment, but his 44% foul shot rate was not enough for a Greek comeback. Spain finally beat Greece 80-72.
