After so much Sunday heartbreak this season, young American Dustin Johnson is back in the winners circle. Johnson, putting it together in the final round of the BMW Championship to win his second tournament of the year.

Playing in the final group for the fourth time since June, Johnson blasted a tee shot over the trees and into the fairway on the 17th hole. He then put his approach near the pin to set up a tap-in birdie and the outright lead at 9-under.

And Johnson would convert on Sunday, tapping in for par at 18 to close with a 2-under 69 and a one-shot victory over Paul Casey.

The Englishmen Casey built a three-shot lead on the back nine with birdies at 11 and 12. But Casey would make three straight bogeys down the stretch to finish one back of Johnson at 8-under.

Tiger Woods began the day tied for 22nd at level-par. Woods shot a 70 to tie for 15th - but, he did not pick up enough FedEx Cup points to finish top 30 and advance to the Tour Championship.

Phil Mickelson nearly holed his 3rd shot at 11 on his way to a birdie to move to 4-under. He closed with a 67 and tied for eighth, his first top 10 since the US Open.
