A battle of division leaders in Arlington as the Texas Rangers and New York Yankees, were wrapping up their three game set. The Rangers, looking to sweep the series. New York, looking to maintain their slim lead over the Tampa Bay Rays in the AL East.

Pick it up top of 6, scoreless until Derek Jeter rips the Derek Lee offering to right...that plates Curtis Granderson, the Yanks up 1-0.

Bottom of the 6th Inning:

On David Murphy's grounder to 1st, Elvis Andrus beat Teixeira's throw to the plate to pull the Rangers level at 1-1.

Bottom of the 7th Inning:

The Rangers broke it open with three runs in the seventh, starting with Julio Borbon's surprise bunt and a headfirst slide to beat Dustin Moseley to the bag, Ian Kinsler scored easily from third.- Rangers 2-1

Then with, Borbon on second...Elvis Andrus brings him home, the single to center allows Borbon to cross the plate, Andrus safely in to second and the Rangers are up 3-1.

And Michael Young tacks on another, his RBI single, making it 4-1.

That would be the final. New York, still a half game up on Tampa in the East.
