Warriors beat Bushrangers by 28 runs in Champions League Twenty20

The Chevrolet Warriors strengthened their place at the top of Group A in the Champions League Twenty20 tournament in Port Elizabeth, South Africa on Monday, after an impressive 28-run victory over the Victorian Bushrangers. Warriors captain Davey Jacobs smashed an impressive 59 of 39 balls to get his team off to a flying start.

Warriors captain Davey Jacobs opted to bat first against the Bushrangers.Shane Harwood came in for merciless treatment as he conceded 47 runs in just four overs.//Prince played the ball straight to midwicket, decided a single was on but Andrew McDonald threw to the stumps and Jacobs was run out by a mile for a sparkling 59. //Boucher's cameo comes to an end as he is bowled by Dirk Nannes for 31. 148 for six off 18.5 overs before the Warriors finish on 158 for six off their allotted 20 overs.

Meanwhile...Bushrangers suffered a dramatic middle-order collapse. Rob Quiney was caught by Kreusch at deep square leg off the bowling of Makhaya Ntini for just one.

The collapse started as Kreusch bowled the dangerous Hussey with a leg-stump yorker.

McDonald was then well caught by Prince of the bowling of Juan Theron for 19 runs

Needing 30 to win off just one ball, the fast bowler took a meaningless single off Ntini to finish the match.
