- Getafe took the lead when Depor defender Diego Colotto inadvertently deflected in a shot from Adrian Colunga which had been going wide.

- Getafe 1-0

- 12 minutes into the second half

- Getafe was given a penalty after the volley from the edge of the box struck Ivan Marcano in the arm.

- Andres Guardado sent replacement Getafe goalkeeper Jordi Codina the wrong way from 12 yards.

- tied 1-all

- 7 minutes later

- Depor were awarded another spot-kick when Derek Boateng was penalized after kicking Colotto in the head as he attempted an acrobatic overhead kick inside his own area.

Guardado once again stepped up to fire the penalty with Codina going the other way.

- Depor 2-1

- Depor could only hold the upper hand for 12 minutes before Getafe drew level.

The goal came from former Depor striker Javier Arizmendi, who cut in from the right before firing a shot into the far top corner. That was the way the game ended 2-2.
