China win Men's World Cup Team title

We begin this morning with the finals of the table tennis World Cup Team Championship. China, with a chance to win both men's and women's gold. The men, taking on South Korea in the finals in Dubai.

In the first singles match, China sent world champion Wang Hao against South Korean young star Jung Young-sik. The Chinese veteran got off to a flying start, easily taking the first game 11-4.

Jung tried to catch up in a close second game. But Wang would finish game two strongly, taking an 11-8 win.

With a 2-0 advantage, the Chinese was hardly challenged in the third game, winning the match with an 11-5 win to gain the first one point for China.

In the second match of the day, Ma Long, who suffered an ankle injury recently, took on Lee Jung-woo. A very tight first game saw China's Ma do enough to it 11-9.

The South Korean dominated the second game, taking an 8-1 advantage early, he leveled with an 11-7 win.

With the match all square, Ma set up game point in the critical third game...and finished it off. 11-8 for Ma.

And with a chance to give China a dominating 2-0 advantage, Ma came through. He controlled the fourth game and easily won it 11-5. China, now up 2-0.

A win in the double's would give China the title, but the team of Ma Long and Xu Xin started out slowly.

They lost the first game handily, 11-1 to South Korean pair Oh Sang-eun and Lee Jung-woo.

China leveled the match with a tough 11-8 win in the second game and there would be no stopping the Chinese pair as they took the next two games 11-6, 11-6.

China, takes the men's team World Cup title for a third straight year.
