Jiang Yuyuan, member of China's Beijing Olympic gymnastics gold medal winning team has won a silver medal in the women's all-round event at the 2010 Gymnastics World Championships in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Jiang got off to a flying start in beam and vault, going head to head with Russia's Aliya Mustafina. Jiang took an early lead and she later shone in the uneven bars. Jiang executed a flawless routine, which won her 15.533 points to take the edge in a seasaw battle with the Russian.

Jiang later performed to her best on floor event, but was surpassed by the Russian, as Jiang secured a silver medal for China.

Mustafina out-performed Jiang on floor. The Russian overturned the deficit with Jiang after the first three events. The Russian staged an excellent routine, which won big applause from the crowd. Thanks to her performance, Mustafina edged Jiang by a slim margin to win the gold.

This was second gold for the 16-year-old after leading Russia to team victory earlier this week. Mustafina has a chance to grab four more medals over the weekend in the individual apparatus finals. American Rebecca Bross took bronze.
