Mike Conley scored 10 of his season-high 28 points in the four quarter, as Grizzlies send defending champion Los Angeles Lakers 98-96 to third straight loss 98-96.

Kobe led the Lakers start well - his second quarter jump shot made it 37-34.

Mike Conley's three point shot led a Grizzlies fight back at the beginning of the third - they came from behind 54-51.

Then, he added another jump shot 56-53.

Not only responsible for scoring, he chipped in with assists... Conley's pass allowed Gasol a layup shot that made it 60-53.

But the Lakers refused to give up. Brown cut the deficit back to six points.

Bryant drove in for a layup to pull the Lakers to within two at 96-98.

The Lakers had a chance to tie the game or win at the death. Kobe Bryant passed to Ron Artest for a 3-pointer for the win, but Rudy Gay blocked the shot as the Grizzlies held on for their second win in four games against the defending champions.
