With Spectators cheering on from the stands. Athletes had a mixed day in Track and Field. Some finished on the podium, some did not. But as Zhang Nini finds out, the athletes are all driven on by the games' themes-love of sport, team spirit and personal challenge.

Sixteen-year-old Paralympic champion Zhang Zhen raced hand in hand with his guide Jin Yubo to finish the men's 1500m T11 final. Waving to the cheering crowds, the gold medalist attributed the honor to Jin, who trained with him for more than a year.

Zhang Zhen, Gold Medalist of Men's 1500m T11, said, "I hope people can remember his name, Jin Yubo, who is the man behind my success. I felt him guide me through this tiny thread. He will tug it when we make turns, so that I know I should change my route."

Good chemistry leads another athlete to her best time this year in the women's 100m T11 semifinal.

Wu Chunmiao, Athlete, said, "I cooperated with my guide for half a year now. We are getting along pretty well."

One of the most well attended sports on the track is the wheelchair racing. There wasn’t a winner during Tuesday morning's men's 1500m T54 event, Jun Hiromichi who competed in a class up and ended up third in the semifinal, predicts tough competition ahead.

Hiromichi might have a chance to compete again in the track, but some athletes had to bid farewell to the Para games. Sibuang Haji Kalong, a previous gold medalist, didn't make it to the top three at the men's F11 discus throw. But he is happy just competing.

Athlete Sibuang Haiji Kalong said, "I have a sporting spirit, so it doesn't matter losing or winning. I did my best"

For every athlete there's an obstacle to overcome, but this is not what makes them exceptional. Instead it's the drive, determination and most importantly the competitive spirit that defines each athlete.
