The ongoing Asian Para Games in Guangzhou have been affected by a blizzard. A bitter cold front has grown southward, enveloping China in snow and record-low temperatures in central and southeastern regions. However, despite the cold weather, the audiences in the city, as well as the athletes are still passionate about taking part.

In the track and field, athletes who were standing by for their events wrapped themselves up with thick blankets. As soon as they finished their competition, the judges and volunteers would help the athletes keep warm. The Asian Para Games Committee also offered jackets to each athlete. The temperature is continuing to drop, as a result, the judges are wearing thick jackets as well.
