In the NBA the Washington Wizards might be hot at home, but ice cold on the road. They went in search of their first away win of the season in Minnesota against the Timberwolves. Chinese international Yi Jianlian had 8 points, 8 rebounds and one blocked shot for the Wizards.

Minnesota's Michael Beasley sat out with a sprained ankle, but Kevin Love picked up 35 points and 11 rebounds on the night. Washington's John Wall scored on a lay-up. Wall had 14 points and 10 assists.

But the Wizards had a hard time defending in the paint during the second half. Luke Ridnour dished a nice backward pass to Love. He scored an easy basket and the T-wolves built a comfortable lead.

Fourth quarter the Wizards' Nick Young wound up with the three-ball from the corner. He shot Washington to a three-point deficit, 84-81.

Then, Wall fed inside to Yi Jianlian. Yi slammed a two-fisted dunk for a 1-point Washington lead.

But Minnesota would go back in front with four minutes to go. Love nailed a three to put the Timberwolves ahead by 1. He sparked a 19-1 surge with eight quick points.

Minnesota finally won it 109-97 to snap a five-game losing streak. The Wizards cooled off sharply down the stretch. They scored only 3 points in the last five minutes of the game.
