China's team was flying high in the first round, as all of the country's participants moved on to the next round. And men's top seed Wang Hao was looking to advance to the second round.

Wang's opponent is Croatia's Andrej Gacina, who is currently ranked 53rd. In the first set, Wang showed off the skill that made him the number one seed. The backhand serve and forehand seals the first set 11-6.

After losing the second set, Gacina improved his play dramatically. Despite dropping this opening point, he would turn the tide. A couple of crucial faults by Wang leads to the Croat taking the third set 11-8.

But Wang Hao would settle down after that and get back to form. He would go on to the second round victory.

We move now to mixed doubles and Yan An and Feng Yalan facing the 9th seeds Xu Xiande and Shi Hejing. Trailing 2-3, the South Korean duo overcame Yan and Feng. They will face another Chinese pair Zhang Chao and Cao Zhen in the next round.
