NBA: Heat comes back to top Bulls 83-80

In the NBA Eastern Conference finals...the Miami Heat, who held 3-1 series lead, visited the Chicago Bulls for the game 5. The Heat needed a win to close out the series, and progress to the finals for the first time since 2006. The game proved to be a thriller as Miami staged a furious comeback in the dieing minutes.

LeBron James drisve down the lane on a fast break for the bucket, as the Heat build a 6 point lead midway through the opening frame

Luol Deng steals the ball for a two-handed dunk on the drive, and drains a foul on LeBron. the Bulls make it a 1 point game

Derrick Rose lays in an acrobatic trademark basket, Chicago has the lead

But Rose knocks down a triple from downtown, to help the Heat trim the deficit at the end of the first quarter

Rose, with 25 on the night, hits a triple, Chicago re-establishes a healthy cushion midway through the third

Dwayne Wade draws a three point play and Miami are still in the game

Chris Bosh scores 20 points overall, this baseline jumper makes it a five point game heading into the final quarter

The Bulls looked comfortable, Ronnie Brewer hits an inside-out triple, giving the Bulls a 12 point advantage

But Miami staged a remarkable comeback, D-Wade drains a four point play on Rose, that pulls the Heat to within 4, Wade finishes with 21

LeBron, totalling 28, nails a game tying triple from downtown with a minute to go

James knocks down a two-pointer and Miami with an 18-3 comeback take the lead

But Rose misses a game-tying free throw, that ends their run

And the MVP's final attempt to tie the game comes short, the Heat close out the game 83-80 and the series 4-1. They go into the NBA finals for the first time since 2006, and by coincidence will once again face the Dallas Mavericks.
