All eyes turn to the NBA finals starting Tuesday. The most impressive player of the playoffs comes up against the most scrutinized trio in the game when Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks take on the Miami Heat.

LeBron James has emerged as a "facilitator" as well as finisher in Miami, but still holds a 25.9 point-per-game average in the playoffs.

Nowitzki has averaged 28.4 points a game for the Mavs in the post-season.

Dallas will aim to avenge a bitter loss to the Heat in the 2006 Finals.

But since 2006, the Mavericks have won all ten meetings between the two teams, including both games this regular season.
