The Estadio General Pablo Rojas in Paraguay was in party mood as home side Cerro Porteno played host to Brazilian outfit Santos, hoping to overhaul a one goal deficit from the first leg of their Copa Libertadores semi final.

The visitors took the early lead when Ze Eduardo beat the keeper convincingly making it 1-0 to Santos. Things went from bad to worse for the locals on the half hour mark after a terrible mistake from Cerro 'keeper Diego Caceres allowed Santos to go two-nil up on the night.

Cesar Benitez pulled a goal back for the 28 time Paraguayan league champions to make it 2-1 to Santos on the night - and 3-1 on aggregate. Two minutes into first half injury time, Brazilian starlet Neymar added to his growing reputation with a well crafted goal making it 3-1 to Santos at the break.

Cerro returned from the interval eager to attack and were rewarded with a goal for substitute Juan Lucero on the hour mark to bring the scores to 3-2 - with Cerro still trailing 4-2 on aggregate.

The comeback continued in the 81st minute for the home side, with midfielder Jonathan Fabbro able to get on the scoresheet and bring the scores level at 3-3. It ended in a draw but Santos claimed the win on aggregate, and progress to the final.
