Disappointment for British tennis fans, hoping to witness a victory for Andy Murray in Sunday's final of the Queen's tournament. Dire predictions proved accurate - with heavy, steady rain falling throughout the morning.

The weather could not dampen the spirits of some - and early in the afternoon there was some respite from the lashing. The covers came off - only to be replaced when the next belt of showers swept in, half-an-hour later.

Play was officially called off for the day at just after four thirty local time. Murray and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga never made it out onto the court. Instead, they channeled their aggression into a bout of table-tennis. Tsonga won the match two-sets-to-one.
