The wonder-strike came off the foot of Eric Hassli of the Vancouver Whitecaps, as his side played out a 2-2 draw with the Seattle Sounders last night.

Pick it up late, in the match, and after the Whitecaps saw a 1-0 lead disappear with back-to-back Sounders goals in the 81st and 84th minutes, Hassli did this.

Just after they fell behind, Eric Hassli intercepted the ball and scored an outstanding goal inside the far post.

Veteran goalkeeper Kasey Keller could hardly believe he had been beaten in such a manner and the visiting Vancouver fans went wild in the stands.

Defender Jhon Kennedy Hurtado tried to play the ball to Osvaldo Alonso and Hassli swooped in. He chipped it to himself and volleyed a right-footed strike across his body and into the goal.

The spectacular strike helped the Whitecaps salvage a point in the match but the side continues to struggle after 13-games without a win.
