Coach: Milan derby to be clash with passion and contention

For the first time in the storied histories of Inter Milan and AC Milan, the two soccer super-powers will play for the Italian Super Cup, and Beijing's Bird's Nest will be the site of the clash on Saturday night.

The match pits the reigning Italian Super Cup champion, Inter Milan, against the Serie A champ AC Milan. Inter Milan went through its paces at Workers Stadium on Tuesday.

Inter Milan took to the pitch on Tuesday afternoon, backed by a throng of die-hard supporters. Inter Milan, one of the most popular foreign sides in China is looking to give their fans plenty to cheer about on Saturday evening.

Ricardo Alvarez, Inter Milan Midfielder said, "I feel very happy to come to China and play the game with other Inter Milan members. I hope Inter can claim the victory."

Gian Piero Gasperini, Inter Milan Coach said, "We have seen there is a huge fan base for Inter and Milan. I'm sure there will be lots of supporters to come and cheer for both teams. It will be an exciting match."

"The Italian Super Cup this time is very special for us. It's the first time in the Cup's history it will be a Milan derby. It has even more special meaning this time as it will be held in Beijing. For Inter, the game on Saturday will be a clash with passion and contention." Said the coach.

Inter Milan and AC Milan have each won the Super Cup five times. This Saturday, Inter hopes it will be the Milan side to claim the Bejing Derby and move one up on their rivals.
