Newly crowned British Open Champion Darren Clarke will be paired with Tiger Woods for the first two rounds of this week's PGA tour event and he says he's delighted his friend is making a comeback.

When asked about "What was it about you and Tiger that made you click as friends?” The 2011 British Open Champion, Darren Clarke said, "Similar build, similar colour, similar stature. I don't know. We just got on really, really well. He sort of got my sense of humour and I got his.”

"It'll be very interesting the first two rounds, you know, knowing Tiger (Woods) like I do, I don't think he would come back to play unless he was ready to come back and play, both physically and mentally. I'm ready for the challenge again and I think we have all missed him and it's great to have him back again as I've already said. But we shall see what he's like coming in this week on a golf course which he's won so many times on. I think, you know, even Tiger Woods could be a hard man to beat this week because of his record around this golf course. He loves it so much and has played so well here before so I wouldn't be surprised for one to see him have a really, really good week." Said the new champion.
