Let's go to extreme sports action from Poznan's City Stadium in Poland, where fans discovered they call it extreme for a reason. The fifth round of this year's Red Bull X-Fighters series was highlighted by a scary crash from championship leader Andre Villa.

The Norwegian suffered a sickening fall in training on Thursday. Villa under-rotated while performing a backflip and his leg was trapped as he tried to jump off in mid-air.

The 29-year-old led by five points going into the weekend, but now he will miss the season finale in Sydney on September 17th. There was a special guest on Saturday, as former ski-jumping ace Adam Malysz showed off his skills in a VW Touareg as he gets ready to race the car in next year's Dakar Rally.

Back on two wheels, Eigo Sato delighted the crowd with his range of tricks. His efforts were good enough for third on the day. Sato claimed his first podium finish of 2011, and maybe earned some extra points for his sumo-inspired sign-off.

The Dany Torres fan club followed their favorite extreme athlete in action. Torres had won the last round on home sand in Madrid, and he put in another strong showing in Poznan.

Nate Adams was the last man to go and it looked set to be between him and Torres for the victory. Each rider had scored two wins this season, but it was the American who came out on top this time. Adams' third win of the campaign puts him on top of the overall standings.
