Security plans are in effect at Shenzhen. Officials are doing their best to ensure the World Universiade events will proceed without problems.

The border checkpoints in Shenzhen were busy with peak activity Tuesday, as delegations from around the world started to arrive. The checkpoints have checked-through about 2,000 participants so far. The Shenzhen security force established a special group to improve its service. The team offers various language supports for the athletes and official visitors.

Safety workers in the Universiade village are also shifting into high gear. There are also some special rooms to monitor any important security issues in the village. In addition, there are 100 police checkpoints set up outside Shenzhen.
