Quarter final action at the Under-20 World Cup saw France and Nigeria head to extra time on Sunday to determine who would reach the semifinals.

France's Clement Grenier slips a perfect through ball to Lacazette, who slots his shot past the keeper at the far post to put France ahead early. (replay) And if you had any questions about the offside rule being broken perhaps the replay can help you make up your own mind. It's 1-0 to France.

Nigeria looked more convincing in the second half, but couldn't find the equaliser until the final seconds of stoppage time when Uche Nwofor headed a long clearance to teammate Maduabuchi Ejike, who also uses his head to put it away. It's 1-1 and the match goes to extra time.

Fofana catches keeper Paul slightly off his line and lobs a ball from 25 meters that sails in over the keeper's head to give France a 2-1 lead in the 102nd minute.

Two minutes later Lacazette pulls Paul out of the goal, then steps around him and fires the shot just inside the far post for his second to make it 3-1.

Ejike gives Nigeria hope with his second goal in the 111th minute, but they couldn't score again. France the winner and will next play two-time champion Portugal in the semifinals.
