Monday, also a special night for Zuzanna Pawlikowska of Poland. The Judoka, producing a pair of memorable performances on her way to winning the women's 52 kilogram gold medal.

Poland's Zuzanna Pawlikowska would make short work of her semi-final opponent, Japan's Yuki Hashimoto. A few brief seconds is all she would need.

Pawlikowska, dispatching Hashimoto in 7 seconds to move on to the final. The Polish powerhouse, clearly thrilled by her performance.

In the final, the Polish judoka would take on Seo Ha-Na of South Korea. This bout, fiercely contested, with Pawlikowska having to escape a close call early on.

Neither fighter would score a point until late in this contest when the Polish Judoka's endurance would prove to be the difference. She would open the scoring with a takedown...and then finish it in fine style moments later to pick up the Universiade gold medal.

The gold, the Polish Judoka's first at a Universiade, and a confidence builder heading into the Olympics.
