Chinese Super League: Guangzhou thrash Shenzhen 4-1

Turning to football in the Chinese Super League...Guangzhou Evergrande played host to Shenzhen Ruby. The home side was looking to maintain its amazing unbeaten run.

But Marcos Flores gave the visitors a dream start hammering a loose ball in the area...1-0 for Shenzhen. But the home side struck back one minute before the interval. Zheng Zhi nodded a deflected shot into the net, 1-1 at the half.

At the 78th minute, and Guangzhou's Gao Lin re-directed a deep cross with a header into the back of the net for a 2-1 lead. Two minutes later, the league's most expensive player, Dario Conca converted a spot kick. Guangzhou rolled to a 3-1 advantage. Zheng Zhi scored his second goal of the match in stoppage time. He completed the 4-1 rout and Guangzhou is still unbeaten.
