Rafael Nadal faced Julien Benneteau in his second round match.

Playing just his second match since losing the Wimbledon final to Novak Djokovic, Nadal appeared rusty but also showed glimpses of the skill that he's capable of.

He took the first set 6-4 and although he faltered when serving for the match at 5-4 in the second set, Nadal duly broke Benneteau to love in the next game to capture a 6-4 7-5 victory.
