Jankovic to meet Sharapova in final

Jankovic took on Andrea Petkovic.Petkovic had her right knee heavily bandaged after an injury in the quarter-finals, but she showed no ill effects winning an impressive rally in the opening set. The first set was a tight one and went to a tie break but Jankovic started to take command and won it 7-4.

The Serbian then broke Petkovic in the first game of the second set, held her serve and followed with another break to race to a 3-0 lead. It was the end for Petkovic, the number 9 seed never recovered and lost the second set 6-1.
