The Chinese Men's Basketball team will have its first match at the Asian Championships on Thursday. The squad is currently in Wuhan, Hubei province to prepare for the upcoming tournament.

The Chinese team trained on Tuesday and were instructed not to talk to the media but to focus on the job at hand. China's first match is against Bahrain on Thursday. Whoever wins the Asian Championship will automatically advance to the London Olympics. China has won the title 14-times but it's been six years since China's last victory. China's job has been made more difficult with injuries to key players Wang Shipeng and Zhou Peng.
