In the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand and the featured match pitted Italy against Russia, the Italians thrilled their fans by showing they were the better club in this one.

Inspirational Italian skipper Sergio Parisse bursts through the gap and scored the first try for Italy after six minutes. This time he delivered to Giulio Toniolatti who drives home for a try. Italy opened up a quick 24-0 lead.

The Russians recovered 11 minutes later. Scrum half Alexander Yanyushkin powered home Russia's first ever World Cup try. But the celebration didn't last long. Parisse designed another try, Edoardo Gori with the finish, Italy up 38-7.

Then, Italian Tommaso Benvenuti chases down his own kick and scores another try. He stretched the count to 43-7. Russia sought to draw experience from the match through a tough run by Vladimir Ostroushko. He rounded Italy's defensive line to score another try for the underdogs.

But Italy kept this match out of the Russians' reach. Luke McLean iced it for the favorites, and Italy wrapped up a decisive 53-17 win.
