Football league champs from the USA are making headlines down under. David Beckham and his Major League Soccer team, the LA Galaxy are in Australia for the third stop of the MLS champions' Asia-Pacific tour.

Beckham was mobbed by the news media as he arrived in Melbourne on Sunday. Dozens of police and security guards surrounded the England soccer star.

Beckham fought through the crush, and managed to stop and sign an autograph for a young fan.
