In Italy’s Serie A, Juventus faced Novara at home with a chance to extend its unbeaten run to 15 games. Inter Milan looked to keep its hot streak going, and Lazio matched up with Udinese in a battle between two tough Italian clubs.

First, it’s Juventus, up against a lowly-regarded side and trying to regain the league lead. Veteran Alessandro Del Piero got a rare start this season for Juve.

In the fourth minute, Paolo De Ceglie with the cross, and Simone Pepe with the finish, Juve led 1-0 into the break.

Emanuele Giaccherini missed a chance in the Novara box 7 minutes into the second half. Juve ’keeper Gianluigi Buffon got a close call at the other end.

Fabio Quagliarella settled matters in the 75th minute with the second Juve goal. That would be the final Juventus beat Novara 2-0.
