Lakers beat Jazz 96-71

Kobe Bryant helped his Lakers avoid a 0-3 start for the first time in 33 years. The squad returned to its home court and the Lakers ran out to a 10-point lead on Utah at the halftime break.

The All-Star shooting guard didn’t slow down in the third quarter. He scored 26 points on the night. The Lakers stretched the lead past 20.

And, he was once known as Ron Artest, now call him Metta World Peace. He contributed 14 points off the Laker bench.

Utah’s Devin Harris couldn’t keep it close. The Lakers beat the Jazz 96-71, for L-A’s first win of the season.
