Problems are piling up for Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini.

Argentine striker Carlos Tevez has not played for the Premier League leaders since refusing to warm up for a Champions League match in September. Mancini’s trying to handle fresh transfer rumors involving Tevez, in addition to meeting a new challenge with Wednesday’s Carling Cup match against Liverpool.

Mancini said, "The last game we played well but we had a problem because Liverpool are a strong team, it is very difficult to play against them and tomorrow it will be the same. The difference is that tomorrow we are missing some important players, and it will be different but we want to try to do a good result".
