The inaugural World Ladies Championship concluded at Mission Hills Haikou on south China's Hainan Island on Sunday. Chinese number one Feng Shanshan led the first two rounds, but she struggled a little bit in the final. Then she combined with Ye Liying to chase the Team title.

The world number 12 Feng managed to earn a one stroke victory in the individual competition. She finished with a 10 under par total of 206 after rounds of 66, 69 and 71.

The 22-year old beat Thailand’s Pornanong Phatlum by one stroke with Sweden’s Pernilla Lindberg a shot further behind in third.

Feng’s partner in the team event, Ye Liying, ended in share of fourth place on seven under par alongside Italian Diana Luna.

Luna led the tournament outright after 13 holes. But she dropped a shot at the 16th and then triple bogeyed the 18th.

Feng and Ye’s superior scores also saw them collect the team title. The duo combined for a winning total of 415, 17 under par and 16-year-old Chinese national team member, Jing Yan, showed her class by leading the amateur honors.
