As Changchun Yatai played host to Guizhou Renhe. Both these sides, treading water thus far in the early stages of the season...hanging around the middle of the table as they hit the pitch for their fifth and sixth games, respectively, of the season.

Former national team head coach Gao Hongbo was looking to lead his new team Guizhou past his old side Changchun. This one, got off to a chippy start as the referee would hand out three yellow cards in the first half...and three more would follow in the second, along with a red.

Both sides would play hard...but goals would be hard to come by. In the 57th minute, Guizhou would catch a break as Changchun’s Oei Shuai was sent off after picking up his second yellow of the match.

However, neither side would be able to find a winner as this one ended up in a nil-nil scoreless draw. Changchun now have 8 points through five matches, five off the pace of league leading Guangzhou Evergrande...while Guizhou sit on 7 points after six matches.
