The UEFA Champions League final will feature two of Europe’s biggest clubs as Bayern Munich will host Chelsea. The Germans are eager to clinch the crown on home turf, but it won’t be an easy job playing a determined English side who knocked out title holders Barcelona on the way to the final.

Bayern Munich is never a club lacking in spirit or passion. The Bavarians will make concerted efforts to hold off the Londoners at Allianz Arena, and claim their first trophy since 2001 when they beat Spanish side Valencia.

Head coach Jupp Heynckes says playing the Champions League final in Munich will be an advantage for his team.

Bayern Coach, Jepp Heynckes, said, "Well, I think we all saw in Madrid that my players and the team and all that were involved wanted to play in the final. And it is the first time in the history of the Champions League that a team plays the final at home. And I think this is an advantage for us."

Arjen Robben had been with Chelsea from 2004 to 2007 and collected two English Premier titles with the Blues.

But the Dutch winger, is now a member of Bayern Munich and wants to help his new club make history.

Robben said, "Well, I think it means a lot. It means a lot for this club. But also for the city. And for me the nicest thing is for the people inside the club who have worked so hard, who have been here for such a long time, seeing the club grow to the European top club as it is now. And then to get the final in their own stadium, I think it’s a dream come true for a lot of people here inside the club. For us as a team, it gives the team a great feeling that we did it on the pitch and we can give them back this final."

Many believe that Bayern should be heavy favourites considering they are playing the match on their home pitch.

But Bayern’s midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger believes that you cannot underestimate Chelsea.

Bayern Midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger said, "Now we have to say that Chelsea knocked out the best team in the world. In two matches, in 180 minutes. You can do that once, maybe, but they managed to do that twice. That is why Chelsea is for me the favourite. But since we are playing at home, in our stadium, we change in our locker room, the chances are 50/50."

There is still plenty of football left for Bayern, they still have their last Bundesliga game and the German Cup final against Borussia Dortmund to play before the Champions League final in Munich on May 19.
