The showdown between world champion Blake and triple Olympic champion Usain Bolt lived up to its billing as the highlight of the four-day meet. Blake outpaced Bolt in a startling 9.75 seconds, a personal best and fastest in the world this year. Bolt was unable to reel in his training partner, and settled for second in 9.86 followed by former world record holder Asafa Powell in 9.88.

All three men qualified for the Jamaican Olympic team. They will line up against a tough USA group headed by Justin Gatlin and Tyson Gay at the London Games starting on July 27.

Yohan Blake, Jamaican Olympic Trials 100m Winner, said, "Oh my God I’m over the moon, you know Usain Bolt has been motivating me and telling me I can do it, you know, I have to do it tonight...and it’s just a dream for me, I’m speechless."
