One of the teams getting the spotlight in Olympic football hails from Brazil. The Brazil soccer squad arrived in London on Wednesday to get ready for the Games.

Faithful Brazilian football fans were on-hand at Heathrow Airport to welcome the squad to the UK. Despite the nation’s glorious football history, it has never won the Olympic gold medal.

Brazil’s best result was silver, which it’s won twice, at Los Angeles 1984 and Seoul 1988. The squad includes 20 year old Santos striker Neymar, who is widely regarded as one of the most-promising young talents in the game.

Olympic rules allow only three designated players over the age of 23. That let the country put AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato, Real Madrid full back Marcelo and Porto’s Hulk on the roster. Brazil will face Great Britain in a friendly at Middlesbrough’s Riverside stadium on Friday, before beginning its campaign for the Olympic title.
