As the F1 world gears up for this weekend’s German Grand Prix at Hockenheim, the greatest driver in the history of the host nation, the legendary Michael Schumacher, took some time out of his pre-race preparations to meet with Formula One fans in Stuttgart.

Schumacher was joined on the day by fellow Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg, as both drivers look to give Mercedes their first home win since Juan Manuel Fangio won at the Nuerburgring in 1954.

7-time world champion Michael Schumacher has seen an improvement in results over the last two races. He clinched a first podium since his comeback, at the European Grand Prix in Valencia, and a seventh place finish at the British Grand Prix. When asked when he thought his next victory would be, Shumacher, didn’t hide his excitement at the thought.

Michael Schumacher said, "I thought you’d never ask! I hope soon. It’s what drives me on and what of course is giving me great pleasure. And, as we have already seen this year, we are capable and I hope we will be able to win a race and to present a highlight, hopefully in Hockenheim. It will be a great challenge, to stand on the podium as one of the best is not too unrealistic and would be a great result for us."
