The fall-out from Jeremy Lin’s move from the Big Apple to Houston is still being felt. Earlier this week, the Houston Rockets signed the restricted free agent point guard to a 3-year offer sheet worth 25-million dollars. That gave the New York Knicks three days to match the deal, or lose him. New York opted to let him walk. This has fans on the streets of both cities reacting to the news.

King Downing, New York Knicks fan, said, "You know I can’t make that call because you know he came out of nowhere. Is it because he came out of the Ivy League and didn’t get the attention or was he always being evaluated on his ball play? I don’t really know. So the question is, was he going to come back from injury and do the same things again. Now definitely they were going to make more money from the marketing side because everybody was ready to reach in their pockets again. So I think it was a coin toss either way, but I wish he had stayed."

Patrick Edwards, New York Knicks fan, said, "Jeremy Lin leaving the Knicks is like, it makes no sense. I mean he started there. He was doing well there. He got his name in New York. And all of a sudden he got fame and he gets traded. He’s getting traded to the Rockets. It’s a terrible mistake."

Worthy Nash, New York Knicks Fan, said, "I think that it’s a business and for them to sign Raymond Felton back - a guy that knows their system, won’t hurt them. He (Lin) came from the Rockets. The Rockets just got him back. He came in and got seven good games while Carmelo was hurt. He did work, he got his 25-10 and now he got the big contract from by the Rockets, It’s only right. Jeremy Lin, good luck wherever you go my man."

Chris Leong, New York Knicks Fan, said, "I’m pretty disappointed." Why? "Well we’ve got a pretty big Asian population here in New York and I think the Knicks made a pretty big mistake, not capitalizing on it."

A Houston rockets fan said, "That wasn’t a very smart decision because who wouldn’t want Jeremy Lin? At least we’re going to win now because we have him. I’m excited."

A Houston rockets fan said, "I think that’s childish and I think he’s underappreciated, but here he’s going to get a lot of press and he’s going to get a lot of friends and he’s going to feel at home."
