Nacional beat Iquique 4-2 on aggregate

Legendary Uruguayan club Nacional looked for revenge in its second leg Copa Sudamericana battle against Deportes Iquique of Chile. Deportes led the tie 2-0 on aggregate coming-in. Nacional had to score twice in 90 minutes to stay alive.

It didn’t take long for Nacional to strike at home. Alexis Rolin scored with a sixth minute header. Matias Cabrera set him up with the free-kick.The hosts cut the aggregate margin in half.

Then Alexander Medina passed to Gonzalo Bueno for a close-range goal...Nacional tied the aggregate score.The tide really turned in the 83rd minute. Iquique midfielder Ruben Taucare was sent-off after a foul.

The ensuing free kick led to Alvaro Recoba notching the next Nacional score. The hosts pushed the match score to 3-0.And in injury time, it’s Matias Vecino for Nacional’s fourth on the night...his club’s through to the second round of the Copa Sudamericana, 4-2 on aggregate.
