Manchester United took on Aston Villa. The hosts’ Andreas Weimann had stunned United with two goals either side of the break.

But Javier Hernandez showed his killer instincts by netting on 58 minutes. He then, seeing a second shot deflect in off Villa’s Ron Vlaar. The score was 2-all.

The Red Devils kept pushing for a go-ahead, and Chi-charito sealed the remarkable comeback with a diving header three minutes from time. Man U edged Aston Villa 3-2.

Other matches on Saturday. Everton beat Sunderland 2-1. Reading held Norwich City scoreless. Southampton drew Swansea 1-all. Stoke City edged QPR 1-0. West Bromwich enjoyed their 2-1 victory at Wigan Athletic.

On the standings. Manchester United are four points ahead of Chelsea. The Blues will host Liverpool, and thired-placed Manchester City will take on Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday. Everton remains on fourth. 7th Arsenal is still struggling after a dismal run in the first 11 rounds.
